This Friday at 9am meet at Blackbutt Forrest Carnley Avenue Kotara. Free entry and parking fees are $4 per hour. Native animals, birds, reptiles on show as well as Peacocks displaying. Great place for the grandchildren. Bring picnic or get refreshments from kiosk there.

This Friday we visit the Newcastle Wetlands Centre at Shortland and meet there at 9am. We understand that the ponds are full and Spring has attracted many varieties of birds-some with young- as well as insects such as Dragon Flies so we should have plenty of photographic subjects. Morning /Lunch has been reserved for 15 walkers (the average number we are getting ).To sit down at 11 am.

This Friday at 9am we visit Elephant Rock on the Patonga Road. Meet at the bend in the road 1.8 km further than the Pearl Beach turnoff. As this is a medium climb some walkers may prefer to photograph the waratahs accessible along this stretch of road. Gather for coffee after at Patonga. No need to book there.

Barry Collier will lead a walk at a spot between Patonga and Pearl Beach at 9am Friday next.. Please meet at a parking area 1.8 km further along the Patonga Road after you pass the Pearl Beach turnoff. There the Patonga Rd turns sharply left but park on the right at that bend. Barry will organise the conveyance of walkers from there to the rock platform. Of interest will be unusual rock formations and wild flowers in bloom. Coffee after at Umina RSL Sports Club.

This Friday meet at the car park Wangi Rd Myuna Bay (not the camp-but where the main road meets the water.) to walk to the Eraring hot water outlet to view Terns fishing and Sea Turtles feeding and other flora and fauna. Meet at 8am for a short , flat, easy walk. Please advise if you want to be booked for coffee afterwards.
